Volunteer

Get Involved

House of Bread relies on many volunteers to help fulfill our mission of preventing hunger and building community.

If you are looking for short-term volunteer opportunities, please consider kitchen duty. It takes 4 to 6 volunteers every day to help prepare and serve lunch to our guests. Shifts are from 10 am to 1:30 pm—you need to be at least 16 years old and we ask that you come with a compassionate mindset.

We’re fortunate to have regular food pick-up volunteers, but you can email us to find out more about that approval and scheduling process.

To volunteer in this capacity, we do need to pre-screen you for a valid drivers license and insurance. Before using this calendar, please email your interest to: 9OrthAvenue@gmail.com.
